A ruling issued by the Geonim, the rabbis of Yerushalayim, regarding transferring Seforim from an inheritance to the immense Gaon Rabbi Avraham Eliashow – son-in-law of the holy Gaon, the Leshem, and father of Maran Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv. Jerusalem, 1929.


The document is signed by one of the venerated sages of Yerushalayim, Rabbi Zelig Braverman, who testifies that the Gaon Rabbi S.M. Leizerowitz OBM deeded all his Seforim and other belongings to Rabbi Eliashow.

This references the Gaon Rabbi AvrahamElyashiv-Levinson, son-in-law of Maran the holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Eliashow, and the father of Maran the Posek of the generation, the immense Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv.

Signatories on the document are some of the leading geniouses of the Jewish world, the Gaon Rabbi Tzvi Pesach Frank, author of ‘Har Tzvi’, the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Ram, Rabi of the Kerem neighborhood, and the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Michel orowitz, Rabbi of the nearby Me’ah She’arim neighborhood; they confirm that Rabbi Zelig Braverman indeed received all the authorities, and is therefore transferring all the Seforim and the items to the Gaon Rabi Avraham Eliashow, known also as the Humeler Rav.
