Shir Hashirim, Mishnayos for Shabbos, and Pirkei Avos “with commentary ‘Magishei Mincha’ in Yiddish”, Russian Poland, early 19th century. Location and printer unknown (assumed circa 1820). Rare edition that is undocumented in bibliographic works.
The translation of the scriptures and Pirkei Avos appears at the bottom of each page. Separate title page for each section. On the title page for Pirkei Avos is written in Yiddish: “from these chapters can be learned much mussar, and whoever behaves himself according to what is written here will certainly merit both this world and the next.”
Unnumbered exemplar 20cm. No external cover. Text block is loose (several pages are detached). Stains, Moth damage. Overall condition: fair.
