Sefer Be’er Esek, Shut by the sage and Dayan Rabbi Shabtai Be’er. Published by NELLA STAMPA BRAG. PER CHRISTOFPLO AMBROSINI, Venice, [1674]. Rare. 

[4], 134 leaves, 19 cm. Mispagination, [8] leaves were bound out of place. Owner’s signature on the title page. 

Rabbi Moshe Shabtai ben Rabbi Menachem Mendel Chaim Be’er, was the disciple of the son-in-law of the Rema of Fano, Rabbi Yitzchak of Fano and a disciple of Rabbi Aharon Berachya of Modena author of Ma’avar Yabok. Author of Sefer Yotzer for Hoshana Raba (Venice, 1668), Be’er Esek (Venice, 1674), Bashfelah Eshta’ol (Verona, 1821), Lev Avos al Banim (Livorno, 1824) and additional Seforim. Additional manuscripts by him are kept in the Israeli National Library of Jerusalem. In 1673, he was sent abroad as an emissary of the holy cities of Eretz Yisroel and passed away during his mission. 

New, elegant semi-leather binding, the leaves of the Sefer were professionally restored, stains, moth holes, good condition.
