Rabbi Yaakov Pardo was a Chief Rabbi, author and poet. He served as rabbi in Ragusa (Dubrovnik, Croatia) and Spalato (Split). He was the author of: ‘Minchat Aharon’ and ‘Apei Zutrei’. (Son of Rabbi David Pardo from sages of Italy and Mechutan of Moron the Chida. After Rabbi David ascended to Israel he became a member of the Beit Din of the Mahrit Algazi. He authored many sefarim among are: חסדי דוד על התוספתא, שושנים לדוד על המשנה ושו"ת מכתם לדוד.)
