Peirush Abravanel on Nevi’im Acharonim [with the text], by Rabbi Don Yitzchak Abravanel. Amsterdam, [1641]. Second edition, rare.

[1], 305 leaves, 29 cm. The length of the five first leaves: 27 cm. With several ancient owners’ signatures in Sephardic script: "הצעיר אהרן אלטראס ס"ט", "ס"י דוד אל תארס יצ"ו", "יצחק דוויך" ו"הצעיר מיכאל".

According to the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, the printer is Emanuel Benvaniste, the border of this title page often being used by him. The scholar Avraham Yaari (Mechkarei Sefer, Jerusalem 1948, p. 440 note 25), however, assumes that the illustration at the top of the title page is the emblem of the Abravanel family and the book was printed by Menashe ben Yisrael whose wife was a member of the family.

Leather binding. Stains and moth holes. Taping to the title page and the edges of the first leaves. The [5] first leaves are detached. The last leaf is partly detached, torn and taped. Fair-good condition.
