A letter regarding charity and blessings for the New Year, in the sacred handwriting of the Kabbalistic genius Rabbi Eliezer Papo, rabbi of the Kabbalistic Yeshiva ‘Beit El’ and the grandson of the ‘Pele Yoetz’. Jerusalem, 1893.
In this letter, sent to the Rav of the Kolel, Rabbi Moshe Avraham Shlomo HaCohen, the Kabbalistic genius Rabbi Eliezer Papo requests that on the occasion of the approaching holidays, that they will take pity and have mercy on him and give him charity and assistance, kindness and help, ‘I suffer the poverty of the coming holidays, my house is empty, my sons and daughters are bereft, and the waters close above my head, please master!
The great Mekubal concludes his words: Hashem will reward him and his progeny for his deeds, and may they be written and sealed in the Book of long life, in the book of wealth and honor, in the book of grace and kindness in the book of the righteous, in the book of blessings and goodness and successes in the book of happiness and joy.

The immense Mekubal Rabbi Eliezer Papo, from the Rabbonim of Jerusalem, grandson and namesake of the holy Gaon, the divine Mekubal author of ‘Pele Yoetz’ – and the son of the Gaon, the Mekubal Rabbi Yehuda Papo. Like his father, he was one of the sages and rabbis of the Kabbalistic yeshiva ‘Beit El’ in Jerusalem and the author of many Seforim, and, like his father, would sign his name ‘Eliezer Papo – son of the Pele Yoetz’, to hint at his lofty lineage.
