Lev David, five chapters on the topic of Teshuva, copied from a manuscript of Rabbi Chaim Vital, and the other chapters from the Chida, with commentary on the bottom margin named “Chadrei Lev” by Rabbi Yitzchak Shimshon Horowitz Meizlish, Av Beis Din of Chernivtsi. Chernivtsi, 1855.

On the title page, stamps and a handwritten signature: “the young Yehushua son of Rabbi Efraim Fishel” – this is Rabbi Yehoshua of Chernivtsi, who later emigrated to the Holy Land and became known as on of the exalted people of Tzfas. Scattered between the pages are additional signatures, which appear to be written there as a mention for blessing: “Chaim Aharon son of Sheindel Beila” (pg. 2b).

Rabbi Yitzchak Shimshon Horowitz Meizlish (1787–1879). Son of Rabbi Avigdor, Av Beis Din of Kaminka. He studied under his father, and later under his grandfather, Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Hirsch, Av Beis Din of Zalkowa. In 1833 was appointed his successor. Later moved to Chernivtsi to serve there, but left in 1870 because of the reformists in the city who tormented him and placed difficulties for him.

Mentioned in Responsa Chasam Sofer and in Responsa Shoel Umeishiv.
