“I pray for you and your households!” Letter of exalted blessings sent from Maran the holy Rabbi Yoel of Satmar to the Satmar chassidim and congregants of the Shul in the Katamon neighborhood in Yerushalayim, 1961.
The letter is handwritten by the loyal Gabbai, Rabbi Yossel Ashkenazi, and concludes with several words in the holy handwriting of the Satmar Rebbe. Signed with a stamp of the Rebbe’s signature over which the Rebbe signed again in his own hand.
In the content of the letter we can see his pure speech and blessings: “and my prayer for you and your households is that Hashem will grant you a good and blessed new year, with a Kesiva VeChasima Tova, and all the prayers wil be accepted in mercy and willingness so that we mwrit a year of redemption and salvation, with the upraising of the value of Torah and Yisrael, and we shall merit to tell and hear good tidings. So blesses [from here begins the Rebbe’s own handwriting] your friend, who seeks your peace and wellbeing all days.” – followed by his signature.
