Historic letter, entirely in the holy handwriting of the miracle-working Tzaddik, the holy “Rabbi Shalom Shotzer” – ca. 1948-49.

The historic letter contains a unique expose: The holy Shotzer writes that his children had emigrated to the US, and had wanted him to come with them but he refuses. The children mentioned are his son-in-law the holy Rabbi Yoel of Shotz, his son-in-law Rabbi Berel, i.e. the Holy Rabbi Yisachar Dov of Woideslav, and his son-in-law Rabbi Yaakov of Tchekawa.
He writes thus:
“They wanted to drag me there as well, but I do not want it and cannot do it, Yokli and I are going from here from west…”

Further on, important historic sections that deal with the founding of the State of Israel, the establishment of the first government, and his worry that the government will treat Torah scholars with respect, support them, and:
“Let me know the truth, is your government closer to Judaism (i.e. orthodoxy) than it used to be – at least outwardly and in public? Does Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Levin have any say by them? What about the non-kosher kitchens, have they been koshered? And how is the government regarding the Chassidim and pious people, why do they not support the poor Torah scholars who are broken to bits. Is anything being done on that? Is support coming from America to EY? And how is it by you at home…? What is the situation in Yerushalayim now, is it quiet? And what is the talk in Shul regarding the end result of Eretz Yisrael and the government – will it be good? Please forgive me for asking all this and be blessed with a Ksiva Vechasima Tova” – and signs his holy name,
Shalom.
