Historic letter, with never printed Chiddushim, handwritten by Maran the great Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Sher, Rosh Yeshiva of Slabodka and its establisher in Eretz Yisrael, sent to his great disciples Rabbi Aharon Cohen and Rabbi Efrayim Zev Garbuz, in their youth. 1924.

In the letter, he responds to things they wrote to him and to comments they made on previous Chiddushim he had written on the Halachos of sacrifices, and he goes to great length to explain why their question is not solid enough and shows how to bolster it.

After this opening, he writes and makes a cooment on the Rambam, regarding Halachos of Yom Kippur.

He concludes the letter with warm wishes for a blessed new year.

Rabbi Sher refers to the recipients as “Master Aharon Cohen and Master Zev”, from which we can extrapolate who the recipients were.
