Pre-WWII – Two letters sent by the immense Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler, Rosh Yeshiva of Kletzk and later from the greatest leaders of the Torah world. 1934 – 1937.

✵ Letter of Maran Rabbi Aharon Kotler to the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Barak – Berg, from the heads of Va’ad HaYeshivos. 1937.

In the letter, a recommendation regarding an advanced student of the Yeshiva of Kletzk, a native of Lida, who is now traveling from his home to Vilna seeking medical attention for an illness.
Rabbi Aharon Kotler is requesting that Va’ad Hayeshivos transfer him, from the Yeshiva’s account, a sum of 12 Gulden.

Very interesting to note that the letter, which had been written by a scribe and signed by Rabbi Kotler, originally stated a request for 12 Gulden. However, Rabbi Kotler corrects this in his handwriting, changing the 12 to 15, and spelling out the sum “fifteen”.

Contains his signature and a stamp of the Yeshiva.

✵ Letter of blessings from Maran the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler to the esteemed benefactor Avraham son of Pesach Meyers of New York, 1934.

A long letter, handwritten by the Yeshiva’s scribe, thanks and great blessings for support of the yeshiva.
“Hashem will repay his honor with all sorts of good, and command His blessings into all of his deeds, and he shall always be able to be a supporter of Torah through abundance and honor. My hope is that his honor will continue to extend his grace on our Yeshiva…
And the merit of our holy Torah and the support of the greats of Torah, who give their life for the study of Torah will protect his honor with a thousand shields to be blessed with boundless success.”

Rabbi Kotler signs with his signature, his stamp, and that of the Yeshiva.
