Sharp, controversial letter regarding the conduct of Va’ad Hayeshivos in Lithuania and Poland, written by the immense Gaon, from the singulars of the generation, Rabbi Yehuda Leib Fein to the leader of the diaspora Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky of Vilna. Slonim, 1928.
In his long letter, Maran, the immense Gaon of Slonim writes regarding money needlessly spent, fundraising done among people who were penniless and destitute, and calls out and warns about various conducts. He writes sharply in his letter to Rabbi Chaim Ozer: “I see that those who hide under his coattails and the cover of the Yeshiva will one day bring ruin upon him, and should they continue to incite against innocent people I withdraw from anything to do with Va’ad Hayeshivos and have nothing to do with it”. He ends his letter with blessings and well-wishes to the shepherd of Israel, Maran Rabbi Chaim Ozer, wishes for health and continued leadership of the institutions of Torah.
