Wonderous Smicha, entirely handwritten by the immense Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalme Meltzer and given to his veteran disciple the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Zleznik, from the Gedolim of Yerushalayim and his successor as the head of Yeshiva Eitz Chaim.
In the Smicha, Rabbi Isser Zalmen Meltzer writes about his beloved disciple: “He is great in Torah in scope and in depth of most of Shas, and he is steadfast in Halacha and ruling and his thoughts are clear and true.” He heaps many more praises on his disciple, Rabbi Zleznik, who wold later succeed him as head of the Yeshiva.
