✵ The great Gaon Rabbi Shlomo David Kahana Raavad of Warsaw, in a letter to the Gaon Rabbi Yoel Leib Herzog, fathr of the famous Chief Rabbi the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Halevi Herzog, requesting assistance in saving a Jew, Rabbi Pinchas Kula of Warsaw who had served as a Shochet in Zwika, Germany, and who was deported from there when the Nazis rose to power. Dated Tammuz 5693 (July 1933).

Gaon Rabbi Naftali Tzvi Yehuda Reif to the Central Committee in Yerushalayim. Sending of donation money from New Jersey to Yerushalayim and a request that they not transfer the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Tzvi Horowitz from his current residence in the Lichtenstein House in Jerusalem. 1928.

Rabbi Yaakov, AKA Dr. Avigdor, Rabbi and Av Beis Din of Mexico, to Rabbi Simcha Elberg, editor of “Hapardes” and a prominent member of the Agudas Harabonim of the US and Canada, future chairman of the organization, regarding sending copies of the periodical “Hapardes” as well as sending Kosher for Passover spices from Chicago to New York. Jan. 1959.

Rabbi Avraham Shalom Yeshaya Segal Wiesel, Rabbi of Chatam Sofer Shul and Menahel of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim on Montevideo, to Rabbi Shmuel Pardes, first editor of “Hapardes”, regarding the Kosher status of products advertised in the periodical.
