Letter from the wonderous Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Michel Feinstein, Rosh Yeshivas Beis Yehuda, son-in-law of Maran, the immense Gaon, Rabbi Yitzchak Zev Solovechik of Brisk. 1947.
The letter was sent to the famous activist and MP Rabbi Menachem Porush, and deals with an article that was set to be published in the “Kol Israel” periodical, published in Jerusalem, where he commented on an article titled “Ma’alos Hatorah”.
Rav Michl Feinstein writes in his typical delicacy that he could not write comments on an article that deals with himself and where he is the subject of the matter, but he did make a few small corrections.
The Brisker attitude can also be seen when Rabbi Feinstein requests that the title to the article not mention Levi Ginsburg, from the leaders of the Conservative movement in the US, since he lectures at Shneor Zalman Shechter’s teachers’ seminary.
