Mar’os Elohim, containing four sections describing the desirable Avodash Hakodesh, by Rabbi Meir ben Rabbi Yechezkel ibn Gabai. Published by the author’s son-in-law. Juan Grippo Press. First and rare edition. 

139 leaves, 28 cm. In the following editions, the Sefer was titled Avodas Hakodesh. The printing of the Sefer ended in 1568, as mentioned by the colophon. The page on the back of the title page is missing, containing praise for the Sefer by Rabbi Shmuel ben Rabbi Shabtai Kazani of Candia. Due to a printing error, the first page of leaf 6 was not printed in this copy. 

The exceptional Rav Rabbi Meir ben rabbi Yechezkel ibn Gabai (1480-1540) one of the important Kabbalist of the Spanish exiles and the author of important Kabbalistic Seforim: Tola’as Yaakov on the prayers, Avodas Hakodesh, a basic and comprehensive Sefer on Kabbalah during the generations before the Kabbalists of Safed, and Derech Emunah on the structure of the ten Sfiros. 

New binding, moth holes and stains appearing in the Sefer were professionally restored; however, there are still blemishes and minor stains affecting the text. One page is missing and one page was not printed. Good general condition.
