Forged edition of a Chassidus Sefer. Levushei Srad on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, from the Gaon Rabbi David Shlomo Eibshutz, author of ‘Arvei Nachal’. Second edition. Mohyliv-Podilskyi, ca. 1825. Exemplar of Rabbi Moshe Kahana of Tzfas, descendent of Rabbi Gershon of Kitov.

First printed in the press of the noble Tzvi Zev Rabin Stein, Mohyliv-Podilskyi 1818, with special illustrations of the Beis Hamikdash at the end. This exemplar is the forged edition from ca. 1825, in which the the place of printing, the printer’s name, and the date, were copied from the first edition on the title page. On verso of the title page is a copyright notice forbidding a reprint until 1835, which places this as having been printed ca. 1825.
See Stephansky Chassidut #253, and see “Editions of Levushei Srad and Arvei Nachal” in the Zechor LeAvraham compendium, 1991, pp. 96-97.
