Sefer ‘Tiv Gittin’, a foundational Sefer with Chiddushim on Tractate Gittin, by Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Heller, Av Beis Din of Alt-Ofen (Óbuda). Single edition. Zolkiew, 1844. The personal exemplar of the ‘Mateh Naftali’, the righteous Gaon Rabbi Naftali Sofer of Kadlburg (Rusovce), from the greatest disciples of Maran the Chasam Sofer and his son, the Ksav Sofer.

On the title page is his signature ‘the Young Naftali Sofer’. Inside are two comments on Halacha, each of a line and a half, in his handwriting.
This exemplar was also owned by Yeshiva Eitz Chaim in Kapellen, Antwerp, and was later sold to the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Zekil Pollak, from the leading Rabbis of Antwerp.

The Gaon Rabbi Naftali Sofer, author of Mateh Naftali (1819-1899), son of the holy and famous Gaon Rabbi Fishel Sofer, from the great disciples of Maran the Chasam Sofer. Rabbi Naftali himself was also a leading disciple of his, and of his son and successor, the Ksav Sofer, who used wonderous terms to describe him. Authored scores of copositions of Chiddushim and eulogies, most of which were named ‘Mateh Naftali’.
