Aerogramme sent from the holy Gaon Rabbi Shraga Feivel Za”k – Mechutan of Maran the holy of holies Rabbi Aharon of Belz – to Rabbi Yosef Eliyahu Henkin, chairman of Ezras Torah. 1958.
In the letter, written partially in Hebrew and partially in Yiddish, he requests that they pray for him in his time of great need.
Rabbi Fivel Za”k was the Rabbi of Sdeh Yaakov, near Haifa, and was a Mechutan with Rabbi Aharon of Belz.
During WWII he lived in Brooklyn, and had a long letter exchange with the Rebbe Rayatz of Lubavitch regarding attempts to save the Belzer Rebbe from the ruins. In one of his letters, the Rayatz writes that he had received word that the Rebbe was permitted to settle in Premishlan, but that his financial situation was dire.
