Grandsons of Maran the Chofetz Chaim, Rabbi Eliezer Zev Kaplan and Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Levinson in a passionate letter to the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Lipman Gurevich, Chief Rabbi of Melbourne. Radin, 1935.

Letter from the close grandsons of Maran the Chofetz Chaim, Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Levinson and Rabbi Eliezer Zev Kaplan, who perpetuated his legacy by establishing the Yeshiva in Radin and raising a generation of scholars, sent to the Chief Rabbi of Melbourne, Australia, Rabbi Yosef Lipman Gurevich. IN the letter they thank him for his donation, which had been forwarded to them via Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky, and thank him from the bottom of their hearts. ‘He literally nourished the starving, the hundreds of students of our holy Yeshiva, who are great In Torah and piety, especially now before the upcoming holyday. May Hashem repay his deeds and his reward be complete in this world and the next. And we sign off with a blessing that the great merit of Maran Admor the holy Gaon the Chofetz Chaim OBM will stand by him and all those who toil and assist, and advocate for him to be blessed by the Lord of the heavens with life and peace and all well, blessing and great success in all their deeds, and their eyes shall see the redemption of Israel speedily.’
