Segulah! One page, written on both sides, in the holy handwriting of the holy Mekubal Rabbi Shalom Shabazi – an autograph of his sefer “Chemdat Yamim” on the Torah – ca. 1658.

The Gaon and Mekubal Rabbi Shalom Shabazi (1619-1686), known as the Rashash, from the leading Geonim and Mekubalim of Yemenite Jewry. Poet extraordinaire and one of the greatest authors of Jewish literature. Son of Rabbi Yosef, who was known as a scion of a noble and pedigreed line of sages and writers. In his youth he traveled to Sanaa to debate in Torah with the sages there. Mostly known for his many poems and songs, many stories of miracles and wonders were attributed to him. Most known is his composition on the Torah – “Chemdat Yamim”, of which this manuscript is part.
