On the back flyleaf is an ownership signature statitng the Sefer belongs to: ‘להרבני המופלג בתורה ויראה כש"ת מוה"ר (שמעון?) בהרב מוה"ר אש"ב סופר מפ"ג לע"ע בק"ק קלייונוורדיין לפ"ק תרל"ג יע"א’ – ‘the Rabbinical, great in Torah and piety, Moreinu Rabbi (Shimon?) son of the Rabbi, our teacher Rabbi A.S.B Sofer of Pressburg currently in Kisvárda, 1873”
As is known, the “His’orerus Teshuva” married the daughter of Rabbi Mordechai Fried of Kisvárda in 1870.. She passed away after two years, and some time later he moved to Ukraine, living in Uman and other places. This exemplar belonged to him, and he used it during the short time he lived in the renowned city of Kisvárda – apparently during the painful time after losing his first wife. If we correctly interpret the notation ‘לע"ע’ as meaning (as it usually does) “currently”, then we are talking about a truly historic notatin, which denotes the temporary nature of his residence in Kisvárda after his Rebbetzin’s passing.
