Postcard with greetings for a new year handwritten by Rabbi Meir Shick and Rabbi Berachya Shick, Rabbi of Timișoara, 1933. Recipient unknown.
Rabbi Meir Shick opens the letter with “Hashem will write and seal the illustrious Gaon, Admor, may Hashem protect him, to a good and sweet year and lengthen his days and years pleasantly and bless him with the blessing of the Kohanim, that the next year all his fountains may spring forth, as is the wish of his student who honors and respects him as he is worth”.
After this, Rabbi Berachya Shick, Av Beis Din of Timișoara adds: “My prayer shall rise and come before the Master of All, blessed be His name, to write and sign the honorable Gaon Shlita and all those who accompany him in the Book of the Righteous, may the year and its misfortunes end and the year with its blessings begin, as is the wish of he who honors and respects him”.
