“Address the rest of your questions to my father-in-law Shlita in Yerushalayim” – collection of responsa in Halacha, behvior, and Hashkafa, handwritten by Maran Sar Hatora Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky

Six pages of responsa. Each page or postcard contains varied answers on topics of Halacha, Hashkafa, and behavior, through which shines the immense and incomprehensible genius of Maran Rav Chaim, as well as his care for each one of the petitioners and his unbounded patience.

In one of the responses he writes:
“All of a person’s expenses are preset for him from Rosh Hashana, except for the expenses of teaching his sons Torah.”

In one surprising place he writes:
“Your honor may write, but I cannot guarantee that I will answer everything, as due to the great amount of letters I am incapable of responding to all, and I only answer on required issues.”

On another question, regarding the complex issue of tithing, he rules that
“It is impossible to give the tithe to someone to for whom one already gives, and although it is a Mitzvah, but tithing was not meant for this and may not be belittled at all.”
Rav Chaim follows this with
“Address the rest of your questions to my father-in-law Shlita in Yerushalayim.”

Collection of postcards and notepapers in plastic page protectors. Very welך preserved. Attached to each answer is a page with the questions to which it refers. Filing holes. Very good condition.
