Letter in learning on the topic of “unremoved Matnos Kehuna”, by the Gaon Rabbi Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Ponevezh.
Addressed to Rabbi Chanoch Henich Karelenstein, the letter contains Rabbi Lefowitz’s response to Rav Karelenstein’s comments on his Sefer on tractate Gittin, regarding Matnos Kehuna that were not taken.
At the end of the letter, Rav Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz writes: “All this I have written due to the dearness of your words, which come from toil in Torah, and due to the many concerns I will be short in blessing and your success, seeking your peace.”
Long letter, ~35 lines in his handwriting.
