Handwritten letter from the great Gaon Rabbi David Soloveichik, with his signature, regarding saying Kaddish for a lonely, childless person. Tishrei, 1978.
In the letter he writes that there is a worthy young man studying in his Yeshiva, who is willing to say Kaddish in the morning and at night, but wants to say Kaddish for several people by Mincha. Would the recipient be agreeable to that?
It is quite possible that this letter is a continuation of the Rosh Yeshiva’s letter to his brother-in-law, the great Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Sternbuch. Raavad of Antwerp, which was offered here during Sale #57.
