Maran the ‘Ben Ish Chai’ Rabbi Yosef Chaim of Baghdad (1835-1909), Light of the diaspora and from the giants of the nation. Author of very important, significant, deep Seforim. From the greatest Poskim and Mekubalim of his generation, as well as a leader, speaker, and poet. His rulings were famous and widely accepted across the diaspora. Disciple of Rabbi Abdallah Somech, leader of Sephardic Jewry.
