“It was a shield and a shelter in the forest of Siberia at every step”: Sefer ‘Mateh Moshe’ by Rabbi Moshe of Przemyśl, disciple of the Maharshal. Warswa, 1920. An exemplar sent to Siberia by the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel of Zabłotów, from the Kossov dynasty, with significant notations.
This exemplar of Mateh Moshe belonged originally to the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel Hager of Zabłotów. He gifted it to his Mechutan, Rabbi Yisrael Alter Weinberger, who wandered in Siberia with it, wrote his name and the names of his children in it, and noted that the Sefer was his protection during his wanderings, and he begs that it continue to do so.
