Letter from the holy Rabbi Nochum Yehoshua Halevi Patchenik of Brezno, Av Beis Din of Dobrowitz and Sarny HY”D, brother-in-law of the holy Mahari”d of Belz – sent to the managers of “Va’ad Hayeshivos” in Vilna – Dobrowitz, 1925 – extremely rare – never seen in auctions.
In the letter, the Admor of Brezno describes the difficult state of the Yeshiva in nearby Sarny, Wołyń. In the letter he suggests to the managers of “Va’ad Hayeshivos”, headed by the Gaon Rav Chaim Ozer of Vilna, that thirty percent of the funds collected in the charity boxes of “Va’ad Hayeshivos” in the towns surrounding Sarny will from now on go directly for the upkeep of the Sarny Yeshiva, to prevent its collapse. Signed: “Nochum Yehoshua halevi son of Rabbi Avraham Shmuel OBM, Rabbi and Moreh Tzedek of Dobrowitz.”
Following him, are several lines from two other Rabbonim fron towns near Sarny: “Shlomo Yaakov Shlita, Rabbi of Włodzimierzec and the area, Wołyń Oblast”, and Rabbi “Aharon Yosef Shames, Av Beis Din of Rokytne”.
