Letter in Yiddish, a request for charity, handwritten by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Manish Safrin of Komarna – Yerushalayim. 1967.
A pleading letter, addressed to philanthropists and charitable people. In opening, the Rebbe sends his blessings for a Kosher and joyous Pesach, full of happiness and Nachas, and that the holiday will bring with it health and salvations.
The Rebbe continues speaking of the fact that Pesach is approaching and everything is extremely expensive. He is having difficulties with his livelihood, and he has a large family with young, orphaned children. He requests that they not forget the holy house of Torah in Yerushalayim. At the end he blesses that “his holy grandfather, Rabbi Eizik of Komarna, will advocate good for you for blessings and good”.
