Important letter, “a cry and plea” for charity for orphans, signed by the five members of the Beis Din of the Eidah Charedis of Yerushalayim: Rabbi David Yungreis – Raavad, Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov Weiss, Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Dushinsky, and Rabbi Eliyahu Zaltonic. 1971.
In their letter
“An outcry and request”, the Rabbonim beseech charity and assistance, due to the tragedy that befell a family whose father passed away young and left behind a widow and twelve children. It is a great Mitzvah to establish a fund for this illustrious family who are unaccustomed to this etc.
“There is no measure to the greatness of the charity and Chessed, and this great Mitzvah of reviving the souls of widows and orphans with a substantial help in gracious spirit, will protect all those who contribute to fulfill all their wishes for good and Hashem will protect them from loss and bereavement, and we will merit to see the coming redemption with the coming of Moshiach swiftly in our times”.
