Based on the Yaavetz, Moreinu Rabbi Aharon Halevi, and the “Ha’eshel” commentary by Rabbi Avraham Eliyahu son of Rabbi Yechiel Mechel, author of Responsa Lechem She’arim.
The exemplar carries four stamps from Rabbi Freund: on the title page, and on the three front and rear flyleaves.
Two title pages, first in red and green ink, with a special illustration of a ‘Lamenatzeach’ menorah in green ink on the reverse side.
The holy Master of the Land of Israel, Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund (1904–1996), Gaon, Av Beis Din of Yerushalayim and the Eidah Chareidis, head of the Satmar Yeshiva in Jerusalem, grandson of the Av Beis Din of Honiad. Exalted Chassid and ascetic, a miracle worker who helped many with his prayers and blessings. Survived the tribulations of the holocaust with faith and greatness of spirit. The Tzaddikim of the generation spoke greatly of his merits.
