Letter in Yiddish, handwritten by a widow who begs for herself and her seven young children. In her letter, the widow details the pain and suffering she has gone through in her 10 years of widowhood, and that she has now betrothed her daughter to a Yeshiva student etc.
Below this is written: “I hereby confirm and uphold all that is written above as being the absolute reality, and the Mitzvah is the greatest of all, and in merit of this Mitzvah of sustaining and marrying off a bride you should be blessed from the source of blessings with all manners of good as your hearts’ desire. Signing with all manners of blessing”, and the signature of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund.
Joining the request, in his handwriting and signature, is Rabbi Tzvi Kunstlicher, Av Beis Din of Seben.
The holy Master of the Land of Israel, Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund (1904–1996), Gaon, Av Beis Din of Yerushalayim and the Eidah Chareidis, head of the Satmar Yeshiva in Jerusalem, grandson of the Av Beis Din of Honiad. Exalted Chassid and ascetic, a miracle worker who helped many with his prayers and blessings. Survived the tribulations of the holocaust with faith and greatness of spirit. The Tzaddikim of the generation spoke greatly of his merits.
