Postcard, handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Tobias, Rav of Piatra Neamţ in Romania – 1958.
Addressed to Rabbi I Halevi, Shochet and Rabbi of Târgu Ocna. In the letter, Rabbi Tobias apologizes for his “long silence” which was caused by various episodes that wasted his time nd other issues… “I seek your peace with great affection and bless you with a Kesiva Vechasima Tova in the book of the complete Tzaddikim for you and your household.”
The Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Tobias (1914-1994), son of Rabbi Shlomo, Av Beis Din of Csíkszereda, disciple of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Buhuşi (Bohush). Ordained by several Rabbonim, amongst them Rabb David Sperber, Av Beis Din of Braşov and RabbiYoel Ashkenazi, Rabbi of Iași. Was later appointed Rabbi of Piatra Neamţ in Romania. After emigrating to Eretz Yisrael he served as a Rabbi in Herzliya.
