Eastern manuscript, transcription of Sefer “Shchitot Ubdikot” by Rabbi Yaakov Weil (Mahari Weil) – Amsterdam, 1852.
Sefer “Shchitot Ubdikot” by the Mahari Weil (who lived in the first half of the 15th century) has been copied numerous times and was printed in scores of editions with many commentaries (including that of the Maharshal).
This exemplar is an Eastern transcription, with a collection of “glosses and innovations”, from the late 1800’s. On the title page is written “In Amsterdam… הבר"ית” – apparently this is a copy of an unknown edition printed in Amsterdam in תרי"ב (1852).
[1], 14-34 pp. (total of 21 sheets, 42 written pages). Stains. A few tiny moth holes. New leather binding. Good condition.
