Sefer Siach Yitzchak, a collection of commentaries of tractate Yoma, collected and edited from manuscripts by Rabbi Yitzchak Nunez Vais – Livorno, 1766 – first edition – exemplar of the wonderous researcher Rabbi Yehosef Schwartz, author of “Tevu’as Ha’aretz”.

The genius researcher Rabbi Yehosef Schwartz (1805-1865) was one of the first researchers of Eretz Yisrael. He was a disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Bing in the Yeshiva of Würzburg. Immigrated to Yerushalayim in 1833. In Yerushalayim he studied Kabbalah in the Kabbalistic Yeshiva “Beit El”. Was known for his series of Seforim referred to as “Tevu’as Ha’aretz (due to the seminal book in the series).
