Kiryat Sefer, Rabbi Moshe of Trani’ Halacha Sefer. Venice, 1551. First edition of this foundational Sefer. Noble exemplar of the holy Rav of Radowicz (Rădăuţi).

On pg. 5, a notation in Solitreo handwriting:
“Hashem gifted his servant, the young Avraham Fromantilo”. It’s possible that the correct deciphering of the signature should be “Pintrimolo”, which would refer to Rabbi Avraham Pontrimolo, from the sages of Izmir, author of “Eved Atraham”.

The title page and the five index pages were redone in an artistic handwriting from the time period, and the same handwriting is found in glosses throughout the Sefer – approx. 20 glosses. Approx. 20 page margins, manly at the end, were also restored in that same superb handwriting.

Two stamps on the title page of the holy Rabbi Moshe of Radowicz fro his time in Sert.

Please see the Hebrew listing for biographical information on Rabbi Avraham Pontrimoli and Rabbi Moshe Hager of Radowicz.

Moth holes. Many pages restored artistically or with scribe’s handwriting. Later, complete binding. Good condition.

Measurement: 28 CM
