Letter of blessings and thanks for support of the Yeshivos by Maran the immense Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler – Kletzk, Yom Kippur eve, 1929 – “Baruch Hashem who has not abandoned His Chessed and fidelity to the holy Yeshivos” – blessings for “Gmar Chatima Tova to a year of life, blessings, and success”.


The letter was sent to the manager of “Va’ad Hayeshivos” in Vilna, Rabbi Yosef Shub HY”D, and in it Rabbi Kotler thanks him for the information regarding some support which was sent to the Yeshiva in Kletzk at its time of need.

The immense Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler (1892-1963) one of the great Gedolim to have arisen in the last generation. From the rebuilders of the Yeshiva world in America, and from the founders of the pure education in Eretz Yisrael. From the leaders of World Agudas Yisroel. Became famous as a genius and an immensely diligent learner, sharp and well-versed, from a young age. Studied under the Gaon Rabbi Zalman Sender Kahana Shapiro and in the Slabodka Yeshiva. Married the daughter of the immense Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. Was Rosh Yeshiva of Kletzk and Slutzk, and later founded Beis Medrash Govoha of Lakewood.
