Handwritten manuscript. Eight pages of Chiddushei Torah, in the handwriting of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Aharon Cohen, Rosh Yeshiva of the Chevron Yeshiva – Chiddushim on a Sugya in tractate Bava Kama p. 39 – never printed.
In these pages Rabbi Aharon writes:
“and a Gadol from abroad asked me this question… and when I first looked into it I thought simply… and when I replied this to that Gadol he refuted this answer… and therefore it appears to me, with Hashem’s help, a new thing, which I am still perplexed about…”
The Gaon Rabbi Aharon Cohen (1904-1961) was known for his genius and purity of Middos, alongside his lofty holiness and righteousness. Received his studies from his Rabbeim in Yeshiva Knesses Yisroel Slabodka and Yeshivas Chevron, and became the son-in-law of the Rosh Yeshiva of Chevron, the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein. Passed away childless, and was recognized as one of the Geonim of his generation.
