The Sefer ‘Sfas Emes’ is known for its originality and depth, and has become a permanent fixture among the Sifrei Chassidus. It is probably the only Chassidic Sefer to have attained such widespread acceptance and distribution, breaching the boundaries of the Chassidic community and reaching other communities, such as the Lithuanian Yeshiva world and more. The name ‘Sfas Emes’ was taken from the passuk “שפת אמת תכון לעד”, which is the passuk used in the last article, written a few weeks before his passing.
