Letter sent by Rabbi Yisrael Shapiro, the “Emunas Yisrael” of Grodzisk, to the Geonim Rabbi Yisrael Zev Minzberg and Rabbi David Weingarten of Eretz Yisrael.
In the letter he thanks for the shipment he received from Eretz Yisrael – a handsome Esrog for Sukkot. The Rebbe affirms that he will be sending money to the Kollel Polin headed by them, for the poor in Eretz Yisrael.
The letter ends with abundant blessings and a request to send his regards to his son, Rabbi Elimelech Shapiro of Grodzisk, who resided then in Eretz Yisrael.
On verso, an additional regards to Rabbi Yehoshua Asher Rabinovich of Yerushalayim, son of Rabbi Arye Mordechai, a grandson of the “Yehudi HaKadosh”, who passed away in 1943, as well as other notations.
