Hand towel of the exalted and holy Tzaddik, the saintly “Heiliger Rivnitzer”, Rabbi Chaim Zanvil of Rimnitz.

Hand towel used to soak up his tears during his toil in Tikkun Chatzos, by the incredible Tzaddik Rabbi Chaim Zanvil Abramowitz of Rimnitz, a true Ohev Yisrael, who cried for the pain of the Shechina and Klal Yisroe.

This towel was used extensively by the Rivnitzer during his last years in Monsey, to wipe his face and dry himself after going to the Mikveh.

The towel, which is complete and show almost no wear or unraveling, comes with a handwritten affidavit from his Gabbai, testifying that this is, indeed, the towel used by the Rivnitzer during his last years in Monsey.

We find already in the Gemara and the Rishonim mention of the importance of clothing of Tzaddikim.
The Gemara in Bava Kama says that “the clothing of the Kohen bring atonement”. In Medrash Shir Hashirim it says that Rabbi eliezer’s Beit Medrash had a stone on which he used to sit. One time Rabbi Yehoshua came in and began kissing that stone saying “This stone is like Har Sinai and he who sits on it is like the Ark of the Covenant”.
