Gemara tractate Berachot with scores of genius comments handwritten by the incredible Gaon, the Chossid Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Hirsch Klatzkin, Av Beis Din of Romanov, from the leading Rabbis of Chabad – never printed – rare
His manuscripts are extremely rare
Talmud Bavli tractate Berachot, Ram family press, 1908 edition.
This exemplar is the personal copy of the Chassidic Gaon Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Klatzkin, Av Beis Din of Romanov, with scores of handwritten comments of genius brilliance, both in Halacha and in Aggada. The comments display his incredible proficiency in Gemara and all the Midrasshim. He will sometimes reference, in one comment, several dozens of references. His breadth and richness of knowledge of Torah sources is also apparent, as he will quote the Gra and the ‘Nefesh Hacayim’ alongside the ‘Ba’al Hatanya’ and the ‘Tzemach Tzedek’, to which he was connected, and the various seforim of Kopust.
The comments (at least some of them) were written between the years 1921 and 1932. This is based on a comment written on p. 29/b: “see pamphlet ‘Dvar Halacha’ from my honorable brother Shlita…”. The pamphlet ‘Dvar Halacha’ was printed in 1921, and its author, the famous Rabbi Eliyahu Klatzkin, Rabbi Moshe Tzvi’s brother passed away in 1932.
Please see the Hebrew listing for biographical information on Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Klatzkin.
Due to the fact that most of Rabbi Klatzkin’s works were lost for various reasons, his manuscripts are extremely rare and precious.
