Printed proclamation titled: “Kol Kore – what will be with the Torah!” put out by the Spinka Chassidim with extreme insults and vitriolic polemic regarding the Rabbinate in Satmar and Krula.

In between the lines comes across a great bitterness and criticism on the goings-on in the town of Krula (Carei), after Maran the holy Gaon Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum left the Rabbinate there and moved to Satmar.
At the time, the holy Rabbi Abish of Krula, son-in-law of Maran the holy ‘Chakal Yitzchak’ of Spinka, was elected to the position of Rabbi of the city. However, the Chassidim of the Satmar Rebbe refused to accept the outcome of the election, and appointed themselves a different Rabbi, the holy Gaon Rabbi Shalom Gross of Berbesht (Berbești), leading to a deep rift and an extremely vitriolic polemic.

The holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Abish Horowitz, Av Beis Din of Krula (1897-1944), son of the holy Rabbi Naftali Horowitz of Melitz and son-in-law of Maran the holy ‘Chakal Yitzchak’ of Spinka. Elected as Rabbi of Krula in 1934. Perished in the Holocaust, HY”D.
