Rabbeinu Akiva Eiger, in his Sefer, delves often in the words of the Merkevet Hamishne and gives his words much weight, quoting him many times and referencing them.
Rabbi Akiva Eiger writes several times: “and in this I weighed only the option of being lenient, for the Merkevet Hamishne he clearly rules leniently (Orach Chaim §39 and other places).
On the title page is a signature of Rabbi Akiva Eiger’s disciple, Rabbi Yoel Dov Hakohen Liviash.
