Handsome and preserved exemplar: Both parts of the Kabbalistic Sefer “Ohr HaChamah”, the elucidations of Rabbi Avraham Azulai on the holy Zohar. Jerusalem, 1876-79. The manuscript was hidden for 300 years, and was published through the efforts of Maran the holy Rabbi Yechezkel of Sieniawa, with approbations from Maran the Divrei Chayim of Sanz and the Yeitav Lev of Sighet.
Written in the city of Chevron in 1624 and printed in Yerushalayim in 1879 in the printing house of Rabbi Yoel Moshe Saolomon after the holy Rebbe of Sieniawa, during his visit to the Holy Land in 1869, redeemed the manuscript, which had been hidden for hundreds of years. It was then printed, through the efforts of Rabbi Yitzchak Bihem, Dayan in Carei (Krula), and Rabbi Shneur Zalman Schneerson, with the encouragement and support of Rabbi Yechezkel of Sieniawa, who also funded most of the printing expenses.
The sefer has a lengthy preface from the author, approbations from the Gedolim of Yerushalayim – Rabbi Avraham Ashkenazi and the Imrei Bina of Kalisch, as well as approbations of Maran the holy Divrei Chayim of Sanz, who testifies as to his holy son’s efforts, and that of the Yeitav Lev of Sighet.
