The title page and the “Blessing for the Sovereign” page are printed in gilded letters. The Sefer has stamps of
R’ Aryeh Dwek Hakohen, with stamps and signatures of
R’ Chaim Dwek of Jerusalem, and with signatures and ownership notations of
R’ Gavriel Dwek, R’ Mordechai Bamberger, and R’ Yosef Yehoshua Leib Hamburger.
Echos of WWi which was taking place at the time of publishing can be found in the Sefer, as well as to the presence of Jewish refugees in Egypt, who had been deported from Eretz Yisrael by the Ottomans due to their foreign nationality:
— The “Blessing for the Sovereign” at the beginning a prayer for the safety of King George V of Britain, and to that of Hussein Kamal, Sultan of Egypt, was printed: “and they shall reign for long days, they and all the kings who join and accompany them, and all their enemies shall be vanquished by them.”
— The Sefer was printed in memory of a young youth, who had passed away in 1917, and was distributed for free by his brother, who was active in the “Keter Torah” organization which was intended to disseminate Torah learning among young Jewish professionals. On the dedication page is written that “the merit of the authors shall protect the surviving remnants”.
— Beneath the name of the typesetter, Yosef Chaim Melamed, is mentioned that he is “an exile of Yerushalayim”.
