Sefer Tal Orot, elucidations on the writings of the Arizal, by the Saintly Kabbalist, the holy Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Meir Speigelman of Bucharest, Av Beis Din of Craiova – four parts in one volume – Lemberg, 1876-1883 – first editions.
Author’s own exemplar, with ten pages at the beginning full of never published additions in the author’s handwriting.
Sefer Tal Orot is an original merge of the writings of Moreinu Rav Chaim Vital with the teachings of Mahari Serug and the teachings of the Rashash. His commentary style is somewhat similar to that of the writings of Rabbi Moshe Cordoveiro and Chabad and the writings of the holy Rabbi Baruch of Kossov. The author writes in one of his prefaces that his Sefer is based on nearly five hundred Seforim of Kaballah.
The content of the handwritten additions mostly matches the content of part IV of the Sefer, but is written with many changes. In some places the manuscript expounds more than the printed version and in other places it is shorter; it appears to be a sort of alternate edition.
