Sefer “Shlomim Leriv Tzion” a call to rouse the return and yearning for Zion, by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Lipman Yafo of Kovno – Vilna, 1891 – single edition – with approbation by the Ridbaz – with a dedication (in acrostic rhymes) by the author’s son, Rabbi Lipman Yafo – original velvet cover with gold stamping – excellent condition, looks like new.


This exemplar was given by Rabbi Lipman Yafo, the author’s son to the philanthropist R’ Yechiel Katzenstein, on Purim of 1656. On the front flyleaf is a long dedication, in rhyme, with an acrostic of the recipient’s name.

At the end of the Sefer is a composition “Misped Tamrurim” – a eulogy from the author “on the Gaon and Tzaddik, seeker of Zion in all his heart and soul to his last day, Rabbi Mordechai Eliasberg, Raavad in Boisk.”
