Special letter of recommendation handwritten by the great Gaon Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis, Rosh Av Beis Din of HaEidah Hachareidis and the Author of Liflagos Reuven.
The letter is about a test he gave his disciple Mr. Shimon Cohen the son of the great Gaon Rabbi Ephraim Fischel Cohen, the Rav of the Neveh Sha’anan neighborhood of Tel Aviv.
Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis notes that he tested him on tractate Nedarim, which he studied by himself, and he excelled in his knowledge.
The letter is from Elul 1939.
